As Disney continues to operate during a global pandemic, there is a socially distanced twist on the paint-by-numbers wall during the 2021 EPCOT Festival of the Arts, which kicks off January 8th.
When we talk about socially distanced paint-by-numbers, we aren’t talking about the giant floating barge in the middle of World Showcase Lagoon…
…we’re talking about the paint-by-numbers wall that guests will be able to find in Future World West, near The Land pavilion and on one of the construction walls by the Innoventions West demolition.
The typically crowded paint-by-numbers wall will now be limited to 8 artists (guests), with a colored paint splatter for guests to stand on. There aren’t any physical plexiglass dividers here although it seems like it will be very easy for guests to get within 6′ of each other.
The nature of the paint-by-numbers wall even requires every square to be filled, even the ones right next to the stanchions. That said, guests won’t be standing next to each other for a prolonged period of time, which is the exact reasoning Disney has given when asked about why guests are seated elbow-to-elbow on the Flight of Passage attraction.
