During today’s virtual annual meeting of shareholders of The Walt Disney Company, Disney CEO Bob Chapek announced the grand opening of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure at EPCOT will be October 1, 2021.
By all accounts, the ride construction and testing is “complete”, and Disney is simply waiting for a more favorable environment to open a new attraction. As part of the announcement, Disney released some on-ride photos, which show guests wearing face masks in one of the only scenes within the attraction to feature a physical set.
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in EPCOT will be a copy of Ratatouille: The Adventure attraction located in Disneyland Paris. For a preview of what you can expect on October 1, 2021, check out the ride through video from the Paris version of the attraction below.

Masks! Mike sure loves talking about masks. Must have a Bane fetish.
Meh. Not a fan of moving from 3D movie screen to 3D movie screen. It would greatly increase the initial and maintenance costs, but I’d rather they replaced all the action shown in the videos with audio animatronics instead. That would greatly improve the attraction.
