Kartika Rodriguez Named VP of EPCOT, Completing Theme Park Leadership Reshuffle

Earlier this year, two of the four Walt Disney World theme parks saw new Vice Presidents named in a leadership reshuffle that was put in place by the retirement announcement of Jim MacPhee. Here’s a breakdown of the changes:

Jason Kirk moved from Magic Kingdom VP to Senior Vice President of Resort Operations.

Melissa Valiquette has moved from EPCOT VP to Magic Kingdom VP to fill in for Jason Kirk.

Sarah Riles is taking over as Disney’s Animal Kingdom VP after the announcement that Djuan Rivers is retiring.

Those announcements left a vacancy at EPCOT that has now been filled.

Kartika Rodriguez is the new VP of EPCOT – a position that will have her overseeing quite a bit of construction and continued change in the coming years.

Rodriguez has 15 years with Disney, and started as a manager of Walt Disney World Industrial Engineering back in 2006. Since then, Rodriguez has most recently served as the General Manager of EPCOT Park Arrival & Outdoor Vendor.
