Now, an update from MousePlanet seemingly confirms that there will be no change to Disneyland policy despite clear language from the State of California that allows fully vaccinated out-of-state visitors to be treated the same as in-state visitors. Here’s what a Disneyland official said:
Until further notice, only California residents may visit our parks, in line with current state guidelines. Please visit our policy here.
It could be possible that while out-of-state visitors are certainly allowed to visit per state guidelines (removing the crutch that Disneyland is leaning on), Disneyland doesn’t want to be put in the position of needing to verify that guests are fully vaccinated – essentially requiring a vaccine passport for guests.
Hopefully there is direct clarification from the State of California soon. As it stands, only in-state visitors are currently allowed to visit the Disneyland Resort theme parks when they reopen April 30th.
