As we continue to try and follow the rather complicated Blueprint for a Safer Economy reopening plan for Disneyland in California, it appears that a recent update to the guidelines should allow out-of-state guests to visit Disneyland.
An update to the Blueprint that was published yesterday says that “fully vaccinated persons from out of state may visit or attend activities or events that are restricted to in-state visitors”.
According to the released theme park reopening guidance, only in-state guests are allowed to visit Disneyland while the tier system is in place, but the wording above would suggest that guests who are fully vaccinated would be treated the same as in-state persons.
Here’s how the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention defines fully vaccinated individuals:
- 2 weeks after their second dose in a 2-dose series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or
- 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine
Current guidance on the Disneyland website still says that attendance is limited to in-state visitors, but it seems that the State of California will treat fully vaccinated individuals the same as in-state residents.

H/T to Scott Gustin and Leslie Harvey for finding the wording:
