Disney World Theme Parks Begin Changing 6ft Physical Distancing Requirements

On the same day that masks are no longer required in outdoor spaces, Disney World has begun to modify signage in their theme parks that previously required 6ft physical distancing.

Only a few signs have been changed so far, but we expect more changes will be observed tomorrow and into the new week. The change in signage matches what we first spotted in the resorts. Here’s a look at the modifications.

Here’s a look back at the signage that used to require 6ft of physical distancing as seen in the arrow.

Of course, just because signage has been updated on some trash cans, it doesn’t mean that guests are free to disregard physical distancing markers on the ground. Disney is expected to add more markers to shorten the space between groups to roughly 3ft in the coming weeks, but guests are asked to observe current markings until a change has been made at a particular attraction or show.
