According to Disney, the EPCOT line of the Disney Skyliner gondola system will be closing in early 2022 for refurbishment. Here’s the announcement:

From Sunday, Jan. 23 through Thursday, Jan. 28, 2022, the Disney Skyliner line between EPCOT International Gateway, Disney’s Riviera Resort and Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort will be closed. During this time, Disney bus transportation will be provided for Guests to EPCOT. FriendShip boat service is also available for EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s BoardWalk Resort and Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts.

With such an early lead time on the refurbishment announcement, it’s likely that this refurbishment is a scheduled (possibly annual) maintenance and not a result of any unplanned downtime that the Disney Skyliner has seen recently.
