Following our rumor that Disney is preparing to bring a projection show to Main Street USA at Magic Kingdom, we have photos of projectors that were recently installed in some of the windows of Main Street.
While tough to see behind the curtains on Main Street USA, we can clearly see a projector and the circular lens in our photos below. These projectors are different than some of the flood light-style colors and patterns we’ve seen implemented in upcharge parties of year’s past, and would eventually be utilized to provide projection mapping effects like we’ve seen at other Disney Parks.
The projectors have since been removed, leading us to think that it may have been a quick test, but it does confirm our reporting that work is underway.
Disney has yet to confirm our story, so even though we now have photo evidence of projectors in place, it should be treated as a rumor unless and until Disney comfirms our info.
