Following a late-night fire that caused some damage to the Magic Kingdom fireworks launch site, Happily Ever After was presented without fireworks last night. The show ran normally with the exception of not having fireworks. Multiple announcements about the fireworks cancellation were made in Magic Kingdom hourly leading up to the fireworks, which noticeably thinned crowds that were already light.

Disney has not responded to a request for comment, and it’s unknown if the lack of fireworks was only for one night, or if the backstage issues will prevent more showings of Happily Ever After from being presented with fireworks.
