‘Cast Compliment’ Feature Debuts in My Disney Experience App Without Ability to Name Cast Member

Disney has announced that a new feature is now available in the My Disney Experience app that allows you to send a “Cast Compliment”.

More 50th Magic: Another Way to Share Compliments via My Disney Experience Mobile App

The feature, which was started as a social media hashtag, is now searchable within the My Disney Experience app. Simply search for “Cast Compliment” and you’ll be taken to a page where you can leave a Cast Compliment. The only problem? You can’t actually name the Cast Member who helped you. At this time, guests are only able to leave a compliment for a line of business, not a specific Cast Member.

First, here’s a look at the options for what kind of magic the Cast Member brought to your day.

Here’s the second drop-down, which allows you to choose a line of business to send your appreciation for.

Disney says that they will “continue to enhance the way guests provide appreciation for our cast, so look forward to additional updates and exciting improvements to this mobile cast compliment feature in the future.”

Hopefully, that includes adding a Cast Member name to be recognized instead of a line of business.
