Walt Disney Imagineer Kevin Lively has announced that he will be leaving The Walt Disney Company after 14 years. Lively said that Disney notified him that his role would be required to relocate to Florida and he decided that he will have to leave the company as a result.
Lively, who has been active on social media and always engaged with Disney fans, announced his departure from the company on Twitter in a lengthy thread.
Lively has been a show writer at Walt Disney Imagineering since 2014 and has a hand in rewrites of classics such as Jungle Cruise, Jingle Cruise, Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree, and the upcoming Zootopia-themed land in Shanghai Disneyland.
Many Cast Members have voiced displeasure with the forced move to Florida.
