A couple of days ago, we brought you the news that the former lightly-themed gift shop at the exit to the Toy Story Mania attraction was reportedly going to be transformed into the newly announced Jessie’s Trading Post. The news of the retheme came from Cast Members who work at the attraction, and now it looks like work has begun on the former gift shop following the closure of the space.
Construction walls aren’t installed in the space, but guests are able to see through a crack in the closed doors into what is now a construction site. Drywall has been removed and the space is very much a construction zone today as crews work to retheme the space. Here’s how Disney described Jessie’s Trading Post, which has no concept art or opening date yet:
After enjoying a rollicking ride through Toy Story Mania!, you will soon be treated to a new experience that is filled to the brim with fun. Andy discovered Jessie’s Trading Post playset tucked away in the attic, and is bringing it downstairs to set up shop—full of the coolest toys and finest souvenirs handpicked by the rootinest, tootinest cowgirl.
