After an extensive soft opening period, the Minnie Van private transportation service has returned to Walt Disney World.
The service, which was paused during the COVID-19 pandemic, returns today with a new look courtesy of an updated fleet that is now all Suburban vehicles – ditching the smaller Traverse models in favor of a roomier experience. We recently rode in a Minnie Van during the soft opening phase and wrote about our experience and what you can expect if you use the service on an upcoming trip.
We also took a look at the pricing, which is certainly much more expensive than a standard ride-share offering, but also cheaper than some of the top-tier ride-share options. The pricing is dynamic based on destination and time of day, but it will generally fall within a $15 range as we explore in the article below.
For guests using the service today and tomorrow, Lyft is offering a $5 coupon for your next standard ride as supplies last.
At this time, airport service has not returned, but drivers are being trained to bring back the service at a later date. The Minnie Van service is not currently available for many Disney Springs area resorts and the Flamingo Crossings resorts.

Minnie Van service is a great way to get around Walt Disney World Resort quickly and in comfort—all while in a Disney-owned, Disney-operated vehicle, driven by a Cast Member.
Minnie Van™ service is not included in your vacation package, but it is easy to request—just use your smartphone to order and pay for a ride through the Lyft app.
How It Works
Our Minnie Van service works with the Lyft app. Cars are usually minutes away. Follow these steps:
- Open the Lyft app within Walt Disney World Resort, and enter your destination.
- Confirm your pickup location and tap “Select Minnie Van”. If the Minnie Van service doesn’t immediately display, scroll through vehicle type options until it appears.
- Track your vehicle on a map provided by the app. You’ll also see the vehicle number to help you spot your car.
Accessible Minnie Van Service
- Open the Lyft app within Walt Disney World Resort, and enter your destination.
- Confirm your pickup location and tap “Select Access. Minnie Van”(short for “Accessible Minnie Van”). If accessible Minnie Van service doesn’t immediately display, scroll through vehicle type options until it appears.
- Track your vehicle’s progress on a map provided by the app. You’ll see the vehicle number to help you spot your car.
Please note: accessible Minnie Vans include seating for 4, space for 2 wheelchairs and 1 car seat.
