With the Walt Disney World Resort still trying to get back to “normal”, BlogMickey.com sources have indicated that Disney is working on resuming Minnie Van service to the Orlando International Airport (MCO). If all goes according to plan, there will be limited service to MCO in December, with more widespread availability returning in early 2023.
Like many other offerings around the Walt Disney World Resort, the Minnie Van service was suspended back in Spring 2020 due to COVID-19. It didn’t take long for incorrect rumors to swirl about the demise of the service, but Disney World always maintained that it would return. Sure enough, we got wind of the service’s return in mid-March 2022 and Disney World officially announced a summer return for the service a couple of weeks later.
The Minnie Van service officially returned in June 2022, but with some limitations such as no airport service. Now, BlogMickey.com has learned that permits for MCO service have been renewed for the next two years and that training for airport runs will begin soon. Details on how to book Minnie Van service to or from the Orlando International Airport have not been released by Disney, but guests previously had to arrange airport service with Disney directly and the airport service was not part of the Lyft app like on-property service.
As with any rumor, you should treat this information as unofficial unless and until Disney World confirms it.
