After being offered for more than 6 months at an introductory rate of $99, BlogMickey.com has learned that the price of the CSL Portrait Experience private photo session will be increasing to $399.
Cast Members confirmed that the change in price will take place for cruise dates starting October 17th. As of today, Disney is not selling the CSL Portrait Experience beyond October 16th as they roll out the price change. We have been told that the price change is based on the cruise date, not on the booking date, so there is no way to lock in the introductory rate if you have a cruise past October 16th. Here are the high-level details of the CSL Portrait Experience:
- Price: $99 (introductory rate through October 16); $399 for cruise dates starting October 17th and beyond
- Duration: 30 minutes
- Location: Various locations around the ship
- Booking: CSL Portrait Experience is limited and only bookable by phone ahead of your voyage
The CSL Portrait Experience is essentially the Disney PhotoPass “Capture Your Moment” private photo session for the Galactic Starcruiser. That said, the equipment used by the Cast Members during the CSL Portrait Experience includes better camera gear and a variety of off-camera lighting that will make your photos stand out. Here’s how Disney describes the experience:
CSL PORTRAIT EXPERIENCE
Capture your group’s Star Wars galaxy looks at unique places around the ship for a truly personalized photo experience. Our Disney PhotoPass Photographers will make sure your group looks their galactic best and will take you to select locations.
Your 30-minute session includes:
- Consultation, image capture and review by specially trained Cast Members, using advanced digital photography equipment and lighting
- Downloads of select images taken during the session, with professional retouch prior to delivery
Our photographers will determine the highest-quality images to be delivered to your Disney account. Images must be downloaded through Disneyworld.com/PhotoPass or via the My Disney Experience mobile app. Online registration is required; Disney is not responsible for missing, lost or damaged photos; images will expire pursuant to the Expiration policy and are subject to the Disney PhotoPass Service terms and conditions.

Please call your Galactic Starcruiser Specialist at (407) 939-1800 to add this activity up to 60 days before your Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser voyage. Limited availability. No-shows or cancellations made within 24 hours of the reservation time will be charged the full price of the session.
