According to a report from Deadline, Disney is working on creating a movie featuring the fan-favorite character Figment. The movie is being produced by Seth Rogen’s Point Grey with Dan Hernandez and Benji Samit tapped as writers.

Details about the film weren’t shared, but suffice it to say that Figment has strong backing from Disney Parks fans, some of whom waited hours for a popcorn bucket shaped like the character.

While the Journey Into Imagination ride that features Figment is far from the most popular attraction at EPCOT or Walt Disney World, Disney Parks Chairman Josh D’Amaro recently announced that Figment would be coming back to EPCOT as a meet and greet character in late 2023. The announcement was met by cheers from Disney’s most loyal fans in attendance at the recent D23 Expo.

Figment has become the unofficial mascot of EPCOT, but Disney could be poised to lean into the character’s popularity soon.
