Disney CEO Bob Iger Comments on Planned Walt Disney Imagineering Relocation to Lake Nona, Florida

In an employee town hall this morning, Disney CEO Bob Iger fielded questions from employees about the future of the company. The very first question came from an Imagineer who works in Glendale, asking about the planned move to Lake Nona, FL. Iger was non-committal on the status of the move, saying that he is aware that it was delayed. Iger said he’ll look into the ramifications of the move and who would be impacted, but noted that he has not made a final decision about the planned move as he gets up to speed as the newly reappointed CEO. He finished his comments by saying “I don’t in any way mean to indicate reversing the decision that was made, but it is something that I will look into”.

Under former Disney CEO Bob Chapek, many of Disney’s Imagineers were essentially forced out of the Company due to a mandate to move to Florida, which was later eased due to the delay.
