Disney World Union Contract Negotiations Resume Tomorrow, Cast Member Protest Planned

As Disney CEO Bob Iger gets settled into Disney headquarters, one of the top agenda items facing the theme park division is likely the negotiation of a new contract with the Service Trades Council Union (STCU), a union representing nearly 42,000 Walt Disney World Cast Members.

Two bargaining sessions are planned for November 29th and December 1st. The STCU is also planning a Cast Member protest on November 30th, in between bargaining sessions.

Negotiation topics include wages, healthcare costs, retirement, child bonding leave, and more. One of the STCU member unions is calling for an $18/hr minimum wage.
