Disney World Tests Limited Virtual Assistant Functionality in My Disney Experience App

    A new Virtual Assistant functionality has been added to the “Chat With Us” section of the My Disney Experience app (via Scott Gustin). The Virtual Assistant, which is the first point of contact, has limited functionality such as providing park hours, before handing your chat off to a Cast Member. When we tested it, we started by following the prompt for park hours before asking about the refurbishment schedule. Asking anything outside of the initial prompts seems to push you to a conversation with an actual Cast Member. The functionality is extremely limited at the moment but could expand to free up Cast Members to answer more complicated questions.
