Park Pass Reservation Requirements Changing for Annual Passholders

According to a memo from Disney Parks Chairman Josh D’Amaro, Walt Disney World Annual Passholders will not need to make Disney Park Pass Reservations for afternoon entry on most days. D’Amaro noted that Annual Passholders will not need to make a Disney Park Pass reservation when entering the Walt Disney World theme parks after 2pm. The only exception is Magic Kingdom on the weekends, which will keep the current system. The changes will take effect “in the coming months”. Here’s the announcement:

Beginning in the next few months, Walt Disney World Annual Passholders will be able to visit the theme parks after 2 p.m. without needing a park reservation, except on Saturdays and Sundays at Magic Kingdom Park. Pass blockout dates will continue to apply like they do today. While the theme park reservation system remains important to manage attendance in our parks, especially on busier days, we realize our Passholders enjoy more spontaneous visits – and this change will make that possible.

We’ll share a start date with Passholders soon for when these offerings will become available.

    1. Kill the reservation system. Kill it with fire. Salt the Earth. Nuke it from space. Whatever it takes to end this utter crap. Nothing that Disney has ever done over the decades has pissed me off as much as this system. I think they’re finally figuring this out – just how many millions of people had to complain before they finally heard? And the computer hardware needs to be destroyed, perhaps the entire data center nuked. The computer code base should be bleach bit, all backup copies destroyed. This system must be shitcanned – permanently.
