Section of Restaurantosaurus Behind Construction Walls, Lounge & Bar Relocated

A portion of the Restaurantosaurus quick-service dining location at Disney’s Animal Kingdom is behind construction walls. The section is the old dig tents that used to be the location of the Restaurantosaurus Lounge and overflow seating for Restaurantosaurus proper. Cast Members we spoke with were not sure what work was taking place in the walled-off area, but it’s possible that Disney is creating a better space for the lounge. Here’s a look at the construction walls and temporary location for the Restaurantosaurus Lounge.

Of course, any DinoLand construction is raising eyebrows at the moment becuase of Disney’s previously announced plans to create a Moana-themed area and likely retheme of the DINOSAUR attraction into a Zootopia attraction. It’s not immediately clear if the work taking place here is related to the larger land refresh, but it’s possible that the Restaurantosaurus structure would stick around with a likley retheme.
