Harambe Market Receives March 2026 Operating Hours, but Expect It To Reopen Much Sooner at Animal Kingdom

|

The Walt Disney World website has been updated to reflect operating hours for Harambe Market beginning in March. While the website update is new, the currently posted hours should be taken with as much salt as you might find on an order of French fries at Restaurantosaurus. Here’s the latest and what we know about the timing of the Harambe Market reopening.

Harambe Market Reopening Date

Updated operating hours on the Harambe Market webpage show that the venue will be open starting March 1, 2026. There are no currently listed operating hours for any dates in February or January, but we understand that will change. Walt Disney World previously announced that Harambe Market would reopen in early 2026. More specifically, Harambe Market is currently planned to reopen in time for the closing of Restaurantosaurus.

In short, fear not, there will be chicken strips and burgers for your adventures at Disney’s Animal Kingdom once Restaurantosaurus closes in early February.

Restaurantosaurus is one of the largest quick-service facilities at Walt Disney World, and getting Harambe Market open to take over during its closure. It’s unclear if Harambe Market will reopen a few days before the Restaurantosaurus closure, or if it’ll reopen on the same day that Restaurantosaurus closes. It is expected that Walt Disney World will announce an exact reopening date for Harambe Market this month.

As for the reason for the Harambe Market closure, Walt Disney World is updating some of the backstage facilities to support the expected high volume and upcoming menu shift.

While Restaurantosaurus will have its final day of operation on February 1st, the facility will not be demolished. Instead, it will be rethemed to fit with the new Tropical Americas theming for the former DinoLand USA area at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Here is a previously released piece of concept art for the Restaurantosaurus venue when it reopens in 2027 as part of the Tropical Americas-themed land.
