According to BlogMickey.com sources, Disney World is exploring utilizing the Pixar Place mini-land within Disney’s Hollywood Studios again. The dead-end walkway has not been properly utilized since COVID-19 shut down the Disney World theme parks in 2020, but it looks like Disney is preparing to utilize the space again. BlogMickey.com sources indicate that Disney World plans to bring one or two character meet and greets to the Pixar Place area, although we don’t expect The Edna Mode Experience to be utilized.
UPDATE (April 25th): Disney World has confirmed that The Edna Mode Experience will be included in the character meet and greet lineup.
Instead, it’s likely that some of the outdoor spaces might be used for meet and greets sort of like how Goofy and Max meet at the end of Grand Avenue. That is, outdoor meet-and-greet experiences that pop up throughout the day.
The Pixar Place mini-land is woefully underutilized, so we’re hopeful that this rumor pans out and ends up being true. As to what characters might be found in Pixar Place, that’s not entirely clear right now. Edna Mode and Frozone can be found at the front of the park, and we don’t think they’re going to be displaced. It’s possible that Mike and/or Sulley might move to Pixar Place. Currently, Sulley meets in Walt Disney Presents, but he could be displaced for a yet-to-be-announced future character meet and greet.
As with any rumor, you should treat this info and unofficial unless and until Disney World confirms it.
