Disney World Ends Theme Park Reservation System for Date-Based Tickets in 2024

Disney World has announced a major change to the Disney Park Pass theme park reservation program starting in January 2024. Here’s the announcement:

Starting with park visits on Jan. 9, 2024, theme park reservations will no longer be required for date-based tickets. You heard that right! When getting your ticket, you will simply select a start date for Jan. 9, 2024 or later, complete your purchase and then you will be all set! For reference, date-based tickets are the standard ticket option we offer to guests. For other admission types, including non-dated tickets, theme park reservations may be required to help us continue managing attendance and delivering a great experience for everyone. You can check which admission types require park reservations by visiting DisneyWorld.com/ThemeParkReservations before you purchase.

An update to the My Disney Experience app later this year will remove the messaging encouraging guests to book a theme park reservation. Note that even though the messaging will be removed later this year, theme park reservations will be required for any visits before January 9, 2024.

As always, keep checking back with us here at BlogMickey.com as we continue to bring you the latest news, photos, and info from around the Disney Parks!
