In a teaser image released recently, Disney has teased a larger holiday presence for Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World. In the image below, Disney worked the Tower of Terror into a snowflake as the only representation of Disney World. Historically, Hollywood Studios has been a wonderful park to visit during the holidays, but it would seem that Disney is putting extra emphasis on it this year.

In addition to the teaser, wdwmagic is reporting that Disney is going to introduce a ticketed event at Hollywood Studios for the holiday season. It sounds like the event may be Disney After Hours, but more details on the rumored event are expected to be announced on June 15th.

While Disney’s Hollywood Studios is a great park to visit during the holiday season now, it used to be a holiday juggernaut before Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge was built. The 2015 holiday season was the final year for the popular Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights to make way for the construction of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights was unmatched in scope and spectacle, creating an amazing display millions of Christmas lights – all included with your park ticket.

Since then, Disney has turned to the Tower of Terror as a projection surface for the Sunset Seasons Greetings offering.

Last year, Disney introduced the a cappella group Sleigh to the holiday lineup, and it will be interesting to see how much more, if anything, they add to a seasonal event at the park.
