Construction Walls Removed from Moana Meet & Greet at EPCOT

As Disney World prepares for the October 16th debut of a new Moana meet & greet at EPCOT, construction walls have been removed from the area. Before we take a look at the space, here’s a look at the concept art for the meet & greet, which will be located near the Journey of Water attraction.

Here’s a look around the area, which is still mostly blocked off by rolling planters.

Here’s a better look at the meet & greet space, which includes some limited shade for the sunny Florida days, but no protection from rain. The tarp has holes in it to prevent it from becoming a place where rainwater will collect. That would seem to suggest that any rainy weather would require Moana to retreat to an indoor location until the storm passes. In the same vein, the Journey of Water attraction will likely close for inclement weather too as there are no safe spaces for Cast Members to stand when there is lightning in the area.

Nearby, construction walls have been removed from a pathway as this section of World Nature begins to feel a bit more green.
