Coral Reef’s Reopening Date
Disney’s posted notice for Coral Reef Restaurant remains unchanged since June. Disney says that the restaurant will be temporarily closed for planned maintenance beginning September 8th. It’s expected to reopen later in 2026, the notice reads. That wording has left the return date as an open question for guests. Operating hours now resume November 4th.
The gap between what the public notice says and the actual operating calendar isn’t unusual for Walt Disney World. Reservation and hours data often populates before a website notice catches up to match it. Guests relying on the Coral Reef page for planning purposes would still see the older, vaguer language as of this writing.
Dinner Only Continues
Coral Reef won’t be expanding its hours when it comes back. The restaurant will still only offer dinner service on its November 4th return. That continues the reduced schedule it has operated under since the start of the year. As we reported in January, Coral Reef quietly ended lunch service, cutting its daily operating window down to dinner hours only. Reporting from November 2025 first flagged that the lunch cut was coming.
