Coral Reef Restaurant Ending Lunch Service in Early 2026 at EPCOT

|

According to the Walt Disney World website, the Coral Reef Restaurant at EPCOT will be ending its lunch service starting in early January 2026. There are actually two dates of note here where it looks like lunch will be ending. Here’s the latest.

Coral Reef Restaurant Ending Lunch Service

According to the operating hours posted for Coral Reef Restaurant, lunch service will end starting January 12, 2026. According to operating hours, the final day of lunch service will be January 11th. Starting January 12th, Coral Reef is only open from 4pm to 9pm, which is a dinner service meal period. That said, it’s possible that lunch service will end sooner.

While the operating calendar says that lunch is dropped beginning January 12th, reservation availability indicates that the lunch period will be ending on January 3rd. Starting January 4th, only dinner service reservation time slots are available (4pm to 9pm).

To complicate matters, there has been no announcement from Walt Disney World about the apparent change in service. It’s unclear whether the change in operating schedule and reservation availability is a glitch, or if Walt Disney World will, in fact, be dropping lunch service at the restaurant.

Furthermore, it’s unclear if the final day for lunch service will be on January 3rd or January 11th. And if that wasn’t enough, while the operating hours for Coral Reef are from 11:30am to 9pm on January 11th, there isn’t a “lunch” designation on that day. Instead, the calendar reads “dinner” from 11:30pm to park close. The final day with the “lunch” designation on the calendar is currently Janaury 10th.

All of this adds up to one thing: confusion. It’s possible, and perhaps even likely, that the website is showing incorrect information. It’s just as possible that there is a change in service meal periods on the way for Coral Reef, and the operating calendar and reservation availability is the first indication of a change. We’ll keep an eye on this and let you know if anything changes.

  1. We were told yesterday by our waiter who had been at Coral Reef for 20 years that he was being dislocated in January because of lunch going away. He hasn’t been informed yet where he’ll be relocated to in January.
