Guests visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios can now find a scale model of Disneyland as it sat on opening day in 1955. The model was commissioned for the 50th Anniversary of Disneyland earlier this millennium and sat in the Disneyland Opera House until earlier this year. Now, the scale model is on display within Walt Disney Presents. This particular spot in the exhibit used to house a recreation of Walt Disney’s office from 2001 to 2015.

We stopped by Hollywood Studios recently and snapped a few photos of the 1955 Disneyland scale model!

Main Street USA

We’ll start on Main Street USA, which hasn’t changed too much over the years. Perhaps the most interesting part of the model is the fact that the parking lot is right outside of the main entrance. Now, Disney California Adventure and the promenade utilize the same space.

Fantasyland

Beyond Sleeping Beauty Castle sits Fantasyland. The charm of Disneyland’s Fantasyland is that many of the classic dark ride attractions have remained in place. That said, there is quite a bit of change from opening day elsewhere. Can you spot the differences?

Tomorrowland

Tomorrowland is missing at least one now-iconic structure that wouldn’t show up until 1977 after two years of construction.
