Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Update: More Props Lifted Into Place, Additional Water Tower Set Dressing, Bottles, and Confusing Contrasts

Earlier today, we stopped by Magic Kingdom to check out what’s new at the park. Of course, the majority of interest is on Frontierland and the recently closed Country Bear Jamboree, and the upcoming Tiana’s Bayou Adventure attraction.

We’ll start our update with a look at the facade in the early morning light. With a shadow cast from Pecos Bill ending at the construction wall, the facade is entirely bathed in sunlight.

Interestingly, there is still no scaffolding on the left side of the salt mine, which still very much looks like Splash Mountain when compared to the area that is covered in scaffolding. To me, it looks entirely out of place, but work is not yet complete, so maybe it will be addressed in the months to come.

Here’s a closer look at what the majority of the facade looks like.

To that end, the former Briar Patch facade remains mostly clay with no moss or flowers – it still looks like it did when Splash Mountain was open.

Moving on, we can see Imagineers on site to add more set dressing to the Tiana’s Foods water tower. Scaffolding at the base will allow Imagineers and crew to add flowers to the bottom third of the tower.

Looking up toward the top of the iconic drop, we can see more of Mama Odie’s bottle lanterns now that some scaffolding in the area has been removed.

Finally, we saw some props being lifted into place, presumably into the load area or near the drop into the show building.
