Good afternoon from Magic Kingdom and the first anniversary of the TRON Lightcycle Run attraction in Tomorrowland! One year ago today was the official opening day for the ride, ushering in a new era of thrill at Magic Kingdom.
While visiting the park today (and most visits over the past year), we’ve been keeping an eye on the Team Green post-show area. When it was first announced, Disney said that guests would be introduced to more Team Green characters. Here’s the announcement, emphasis added:
Team Green and their impressive Lightcycle’s programming are showcased throughout the space in dynamic displays that relay the incredible culture, capabilities and values of Enterprise – which make them uniquely qualified to join the competition. A single line of green light connects the displays as if to power up the Team Green stories in unison. Looking ahead, more stories about the twelve Team Green members will rotate through the display, providing returning Users an opportunity to enjoy even more Team Green stories on future visits to TRON Lightcycle / Run.
Well, after checking in on this ride often over the past year, today’s the day! Two new Team Green members have been installed in the post-show area, and our year of anticipation has finally been validated. Here’s a look at the new Team Green member profiles!
MOTO | Integrated Systems Engineer
First up is MOTO, an Integrated Systems Engineer. MOTO replaces ROM near the entrance to the post-show area. MOTO and their fellow Integrated Systems Engineers build and maintain intricate networks to keep the many Users of Team Green’s large fleet fully connected.
LAN | Community Achievement Specialist
Over near the exit to the post-show area, LAN has replaced MODUS. Committed to assisting all Users, LAN and fellow Community Achievement Specialists take action to support a variety of programs and make a positive impact on and off the Grid.
Here’s a look at the rest of Team Green in an unchanged group photo near the exit of the post-show area. Note that NEXUS was still present near the entrance to the attraction when we visited, but they may be changed out soon.
