The Plaza Restaurant, located on Main Street USA, is undergoing an exterior refurbishment after construction walls and scrims have arrived. As you can see below, the scrims cover the upper floors of the facade, while construction walls surround the ground level. The Plaza Restaurant remains open during the work, but the typical views of Main Street USA and the Cinderella Castle hub are now, obviously, blocked.
The Plaza Restaurant Exterior Refurbishment
There’s a great piece of artwork that resembles an elevation blueprint for the building facade.
No word on how long the refurbishment will take, but you can usually budget at least a couple of months for any sort of repainting at Walt Disney World. If the work is more than a repainting, we could see it slip into the Fall months. I’d imagine that Disney World would want to get the work completed by the start of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party on August 9th.
