Reconstruction of Gertie the Dino’s Tail Nearly Complete at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Over the past couple of weeks, there has been a different kind of construction project taking place at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The popular Gertie the Dinosaur has been getting some reconstructive surgery of the tail, for unknown reasons. While visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios today, we noticed that the work is nearly complete, with just some additional paint left to be applied on the top.

Kind of like when you purchase paint for touch-ups around the house years after you purchased the house, the green of the tail doesn’t exactly match the body, but I’d be surprised if Disney ends up repainting the entire dino. Here’s to hoping!
