Ahead of the Fall debut of a new version of shoulder banshee toys, the current stock is running low, according to Cast Members we spoke with. The new version of the shoulder banshees will be all-electric, with no physical control to make them move. The new version will come with some other upgrades and updates too, including glow-in-the-dark skin and the ability to interact with other shoulder banshees when they are nearby.
Shoulder Banshee Stock Low
Earlier this month, we noticed that Disney started to offer a 30% discount on the current stock of shoulder banshees. That discount is still offered today, along with a discount on the optional display perch that you can get for your banshee.
Shoulder banshees have sold out before, first when Pandora – The World of Avatar opened to the public in 2017 and again in 2021, likely due to supply chain issues.
Cast Members that we spoke with didn’t know when the new version of the toy would debut but said that the current stock can be measured in weeks, not months. It’s not at risk of selling out today or tomorrow, but consider this a last call for this version of the innovative toy! Disney won the IAAPA Judges Choice award for the shoulder banshee back in 2017, and it has been popular with guests ever since.
The technology from the shoulder banshee would later be used for the Kowakian Monkey Lizard toy when Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opened at Disneyland and Disney’s Hollywood Studios in 2019.
