Nearly a year after the World Celebration Gardens opened at EPCOT, the Soarin’ finale scene has been updated to reflect the new views. Of course, filming was delayed due to the delayed opening of CommuniCore Hall and Disney’s desire to have no construction walls in the finale video. We stopped by EPCOT today to give you a first look at the updated scene!
Soarin’ Curved Eiffel Tower FIXED at EPCOT
As part of the update, the curved Eiffel Tower has been fixed with a slightly different flight path to the iconic Paris landmark. While there is some warping expected due to the nature of the screen, Imagineers have greatly improved the flight effect to make any curving much less extreme. Cast Members at the location confirmed the update.
New Soarin’ Finale Scene at EPCOT
The big update is that “New EPCOT” is now represented in the finale scene. This means that we fly over the finished World Celebration neighborhood, and guests may even recognize a new musical arrangement in the finale as well.
