As Walt Disney World continues to try to figure out how they want to utilize CommuniCore Hall, some new offerings have been added since the 2024 EPCOT Festival of the Holidays began late last month. As you may know, we’re not big fans of CommuniCore Hall and think that Walt Disney World should certainly aim higher when creating new offerings for guests, but recent additions do show that operations are trying to make the best of what Walt Disney Imagineering produced. Here’s a look around CommuniCore Hall with the recent changes.
Snowflake Lighting & Photo Ops at CommuniCore Hall
Throughout the space, the existing lighting has been updated to create a snowflake effect throughout the space. It’s not much, but it’s something and at this point, we’re willing to accept just about anything that reflects some effort for CommuniCore Hall beyond a snack stand and merchandise location.
Two new photo ops are also available in CommuniCore Hall celebrating the Festival of the Holidays. They are were not staffed by Disney PhotoPass when we visited, and it’s unlikely that they will be in the future. That said, some merchandise Cast Members were happy to help if they weren’t already assisting guests.
There appear to be some lighting improvements to the Balsam Hill Glimmering Grove as well. Notably, the lights were working.
