The Island Tower Disney Vacation Club building is now open at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort after just under two years of construction. The new 10-story hotel features 268 rooms, with a variety of room types from duo studios to brand-new two-bedroom penthouse villas. In this article, we’ll take a look at the lobby area, which is the only area inside the building that is open to guests not staying at the resort. Even the lobby overlook is closed off to guests not staying at the resort.

The exterior of the resort, which has been endlessly dissected on social media, is fine. It’s generic with some extra details such as the tattoo-inspired murals, but it isn’t stunning or notable. However, once you get inside, the exterior is quickly forgotten about with the layers of texture and design in the lobby. It’s not going to blow you away like your first step into Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge or Wilderness Lodge, but it is far more beautiful than the exterior of the building. Here’s a tour of the space, which includes multiple seating areas.
