Bat Exhibit in Maharajah Jungle Trek Closing for Refurbishment

Walt Disney World has announced that the bat exhibit within the Maharajah Jungle Trek will be closed starting Monday, February 17th for a multi-week refurbishment. The exhibit, which invites guests into an enclosed aviary to observe bats, is expected to reopen in early March. Here’s the announcement:

Bat Exhibit Closing for Refurbishment

Starting February 17, 2025, the bats exhibit at Maharajah Jungle Trek will be closed for refurbishment. The area is expected to reopen in early March 2025.

Of course, the big star of the Maharajah Jungle Trek right now is a baby Sumatran tiger named Bakso. Bakso was born in late September and he recently made is debut to the public in the tiger section of the Maharajah Jungle Trek to great fanfare.
