As Walt Disney World continues to make progress on repairing a facade that was damaged some 30+ months ago, some new ornamentation has arrived, but so too has evidence of what appears to be some poor workmanship. Let’s take a closer look.
Keystone Clothiers Facade Repair & Theming
There is a portion of the Keystone Clothiers facade that was damaged back in September 2022, and has been in some state of repair ever since. The project has recently been restarted, and it looks like crews could be in the homestretch, but it looks like some new damage has appeared.
First, here’s a look at the work as a whole.
Taking a closer look, we can see that some new theming, perhaps in the form of themed wraps, has arrived, along with some ornamentation.
The central, green decor piece over the doorway appears to have some new damage to it, but it appears to be relatively minor. The facade is showing signs of bubbling. In addition to the bubbling, it looks like Disney perhaps added some ornamentation before removing it again as we can see some screw holes in the facade. Both will likely be quick fixes, but nothing about this project can really be described as being “quick”.
