Walt Disney World has announced details of an upcoming refurbishment of the Fort Wilderness lobby at the Reception Outpost. Here’s the dates and info of the refurbishment that begins shortly!
Fort Wilderness Lobby Refurbishment
From early October to early November 2025, the lobby at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort will undergo renovations. Guests may hear or see maintenance in the area until work is complete, and the check-in area may be moved to a modified location nearby. Upon arrival, please follow posted signage and reach out to a Cast Member if assistance is needed.
Of course, Fort Wilderness has been a hotbed of construction activity in recent years. There was the transformation of all of the log cabins into Disney Vacation Club properties. Currently, there are two projects underway at the resort. The most high-profile is the construction of a new 10-story hotel on the shores of Bay Lake called Disney Lakeshore Lodge. Another project underway is the construction of a new pool at The Meadows.
