The latest attraction to receive refreshed Cast Member costumes is Soarin’ Around the World at EPCOT! The new costumes debuted earlier this month, and we made it out to EPCOT recently to take a look.
New Soarin’ Cast Member Costumes
First, here’s a look back at the old Cast Member costumes. They appeared to be heavier and far more formal with a jacket. Essentially, they resembled older-style flight attendant uniforms.
And here’s a look at the new Soarin’ Cast Member costumes. The new costumes feature a lighter vest-style look. I would say that they more closely resemble the more relaxed flight attendant look that has become more common in recent years. Cast Members tell us that there is a blazer option, but we didn’t see anyone using it when we visited.
Soarin’ has had a number of changes lately, dating back to September 2023 when Disney brought back the Over California version for a limited time to celebrate the 100th anniversary of The Walt Disney Company.
Then, in November 2024, Disney updated the finale scene for the attraction, replacing the old Future World area with the updated World Celebration area of EPCOT. Disney also took some time to adjust the Eiffel Tower scene to greatly reduce the curvature that used to be present.
