2025 runDisney Wine & Dine Weekend Road Closures & Modifications

|

The 2025 Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend is taking place this weekend at Walt Disney World (Oct. 23-26), and guests should be aware that there are planned road closures. While the most magical part of any runDisney race is running through the theme parks, runners need to utilize the Walt Disney World roadways during the races as well, necessitating road closures. Here’s a look at what to expect.

2025 runDisney Wine & Dine Road Closures

All three runDisney Wine & Dine events start at 5am, but the 5k doesn’t utilize public roadways. That said, both the 10k on Saturday, October 25th, and the Half Marathon on Sunday, October 26th will result in road closures.

The major road closure during the 10k is that of EPCOT Center Drive. That slice of road will be closed from 4:15am until 7am. EPCOT Center Drive is utilized during the first 1.5 miles of the 10k race, and should be cleared relatively early in the day. The road closure shouldn’t impact normal theme park traffic, but it’s good to be aware of if you’re planning on visiting Walt Disney World Saturday morning.

The more extensive impact on Walt Disney World roadways will be on Sunday, October 26th during the runDisney Wine & Dine Half Marathon. The big impact here will be closures along Floridian Way, World Drive South, and Buena Vista Drive. Each of those major roadways will be closed from before 4am through 9:30am.

Another major impact will be the closure of EPCOT Center Drive through 9am. This will impact arrivals to EPCOT this Sunday.

These closures will very likely impact your morning this Sunday if you’re driving around Walt Disney World property. Keep in mind that you don’t have to be using these roadways specifically to feel the impact of extra traffic and confused drivers. Pack some patience, and allow for extra travel time if you’ll be utilizing the Walt Disney World roadways before 11am or so.
