runDisney has revealed the themes for the 2027 Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend, just days after the 2026 weekend ended. The image below was uploaded to the runDisney website. Abu, Pinocchio, Elsa and Sam Eagle headline the lineup, with one character for each distance. Disney says the weekend centers on World Showcase tastes and tales, and the artwork shows each character surrounded by food. Dates, prices, and registration for 2027 remain unannounced.

Each 2027 distance has its own character, from the 5K up to the 19.3-mile challenge distance. The characters sit in front of illustrated landmarks, with a gold badge showing the distance and snacks floating nearby. That gives runners a full set of themes to plan around well before Disney shares dates or prices.
Abu from Aladdin takes the 5K. The monkey wears a smug grin with one hand raised to flex his muscles. A kebab skewer and a tomato slice sit beside him. Illustrated buildings from the Norway Pavilion rise behind him in plum and cream tones.
Pinocchio hosts the 10K. He smiles in a running pose, wearing his blue bow tie, while tomatoes and what appears to be mozzarella with a basil leaf surround him. A tall tower from the Morocco Pavilion with arched windows stands behind him.
Elsa and Sam Eagle Take the Longest Distances
Elsa from Frozen takes the 13.1-mile half marathon. She wears a pale blue and white outfit with her braid over one shoulder, and two pastries float nearby, one topped with a swirl of cream. A tall tower in the style of the Italy Pavilion campanile rises in the background.
Sam Eagle from The Muppets takes the 19.3-mile distance. He poses with a furrowed brow while sprinting in front of The American Adventure, with a cheeseburger and a hot dog patriotically placed nearby. The 19.3 miles matches the 10K and half marathon combined, so Sam Eagle appears to host the 2027 challenge, though runDisney has not confirmed anything beyond the image shared above.
How the 2027 Themes Compare to 2026
None of the 2026 themes return in 2027. This year’s weekend featured the Aristocats on the 5K, the Three Caballeros on the 10K, Mary Poppins on the half marathon, and Grumpy on the Two Course Challenge, as we showed in our first look at the 2026 medals. Aladdin, Pinocchio, Frozen and the Muppets take their place, and runDisney has not revealed any 2027 medal designs yet.
For comparison, the 2026 weekend took place October 23rd through 25th, with the 5K at $125, the 10K at $175, the half marathon at $269, and the Two Course Challenge at $449, fees included. Every race sold out well in advance. Registration for the 2026 weekend opened in February, so 2027 registration may follow a similar timeline.
