According to an update on the Walt Disney World website, the Ariel meet and greet in the Walt Disney Presents exhibit will be moving to Echo Lake. The move comes as the meet and greet will be “temporarily unavailable” within Walt Disney Presents. The change takes effect on October 28th. Here’s the latest!

Ariel Meet & Greet Moving at Hollywood Studios

Starting October 28th, the Ariel meet and greet in the Walt Disney Presents attraction will be temporarily closed, and Ariel will meet guests at Echo Lake. Here’s the announcement from Disney:

Meet Ariel at Walt Disney Presents will be temporarily unavailable beginning October 28. Ariel will be greeting guests at Echo Lake, near 50’s Prime Time Cafe
Walt Disney World

The Little Mermaid meet and greet opened within Walt Disney Presents at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on May 26, 2023. The meet and greet space took over the former Sulley Monsters Inc. meet and greet area.

It’s unclear how long the Walt Disney Presents meet and greet location will be closed. Walt Disney World has not updated operating hours on the website yet to reflect the closure. Wording on the website suggests that the plan is to keep the Ariel meet and greet in the same space once the work concludes.

  1. They should Move her to Magic Kingdom on Town Square, if they want this version of the character to still make appearances, she serves no purpose at DHS anymore as this WDP meet and greet was supposed to only last for a very limited time and the franchise (the superior animated version) has a stage show at the park again, and the movie wasn’t even that big of a hit in theaters, let the space become either a Bluey meet and greet (that Disney has promised earlier this year) or bring back the pre-2016 “The Legacy Continues” exhibit

Btw, when’s Asha’s last day at Epcot going to be, Wish flopped massively in theaters, and she’s no longer appearing in Disneyland
