Good morning from Disney’s Hollywood Studios, where the character shuffle continues. Starting today, guests can meet Ariel from the live-action remake of The Little Mermaid in a new spot near Echo Lake. The move comes as Ariel’s spot within Walt Disney Presents is likely transformed for a Santa Duffy meet and greet for Disney Jollywood Nights, and a Santa Claus meet and greet for day guests. Here’s the latest!
Little Mermaid Now Meeting at Echo Lake
Guests can find Ariel from the live-action remake of The Little Mermaid in a new spot near Echo Lake. It’s unclear how long Ariel will meet here, but we expect that she will continue to meet in this spot through the end of Disney Jollywood Nights on December 22nd, if not all the way through the new year.
As you can see in our photos below, the meet and greet is located near the former Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular gift shop. The meet and greet is between the Indiana Jones show (to the right) and 50’s Prime Time Cafe (to the left).
Here’s Ariel!
Nearby, Donald Duck now joins Daisy Duck near Gertie the Dinosaur. Previously, Donald and Daisy mostly met separately, but Ariel is now near where guests could find Donald Duck, so he has joined Daisy Duck. That said, Donald is not on the My Disney Experience app, so he may not make reliable appearances.
Ariel Meet and Greet in Walt Disney Presents Now Closed
Of course, Ariel had to move to Echo Lake due to the closure of her meet and greet spot within Walt Disney Presents. With just a week and a half until the start of Disney Jollywood Nights, we aren’t expecting a major transformation of the space. We’d expect the video wall to change scenes, and for the Little Mermaid props to be removed or covered with seasonal props.
