New “My Plans” Feature Debuts in My Disney Experience App, Tip Board Renamed

|

Guests who have the My Disney Experience app downloaded to their devices should find an update available in the App Store for a new version of the app. Now up to version 8.15.0, a new “My Plans” feature has debuted in the app. The “My Plans” feature replaces the “My Day” section of the app. Here’s a look at what’s new!

New “My Plans” Feature Debuts in My Disney Experience App

The new My Plans feature in the My Disney Experience app combines the “My Day” and “Future Plans” pages into a single page. The My Plans feature brings all of your current day and future plans into a single area, allowing you to either view today’s plans, or plans for a future date.

Here’s a look at the before/after of the change. In the screenshots below, the left two devices showcase the old “My Day” and “Future Plans” pages. The device on the far right showcases the new “My Plans” page. Note that the old My Day page used to show an empty day if you had no plans. Now, the My Plans page presents the next available plan that you have in the app.

Here’s a closer look at the new My Plans page, with various pieces of information displayed, such as Genie plans, dining plans, and upcoming Disney Park Pass theme park reservations. The updated My Plans page comes with a simplified user interface to display relevant information. Tabbing through the days is snappy and allows easy access to your scheduled plans.

Note that clicking the “Add Plans” button will send guests into Disney Genie, which is a feature that helps guests plan their day at the parks.

Tip Board Renamed in My Disney Experience App

In addition to the streamlined “My Plans” page, the Tip Board has been renamed to “Wait Times & Showtimes”. There used to be a way to quickly navigate between the Tip Board and My Day, but with the removal of My Day, Disney has completely separated the two areas of information.

The screenshots below show the old “Tip Board” layout, complete with a tab for the now-defunct “My Day” page. The second screenshot (on the right) showcases the new “Wait Times & Showtimes” page.
