Good morning from Disney’s Contemporary Resort, where the first gingerbread house of the 2025 holiday season is now open and welcoming guests! The display features the return of the Cinderella Castle Dream Lights gingerbread house, which debuted at Disney’s Contemporary Resort last year. Cinderella Castle Dream Lights Gingerbread House Returns
The Cinderella Castle Dream Lights were a magical display of countless Christmas lights on Cinderella Castle for the holiday season. The display was discontinued in 2020 and hasn’t made a return to Cinderella Castle since then, including in 2025.
Here’s a look at the Cinderella Castle Dream Lights gingerbread house!
While this is the second year of this particular display, this is the 14th year that Disney’s Contemporary Resort has hosted a gingerbread house display. Disney says that this display is inspired by “Cinderella’s Dream Castle” and that it was designed by Walt Disney Imagineering and decorated by the Contemporary Resort Bakery Team.
Before we take a look at the details of the display, here are some fun facts!

- 14 Hidden Mickey’s
- 1 hidden 5-legged goat
- 17’6″ tall by 25’4″ wide
- 613 pounds of sugar
- 440 jars of honey
- 13 gallons of milk
- 1013 pounds of flour
- 113 pounds of gingerbread spice
- 25 pounds of chocolate
- 70 pounds of modeling chocolate
- 60 pounds of fondant
- 43 pounds of royal icing
- 513 eggs
In total, the display took 30 days to assemble. There are more than 1,200 castle gingerbread bricks, which were made and decorated by 40 Cast Members. To top off the display, there were 14 sprinklings of magical pixie dust applied.
