Good morning from Disney’s Hollywood Studios and the official start of the 2025 holiday season at Walt Disney World! Starting today, guests can experience a new exhibit in the Walt Disney Presents museum, featuring Disney holiday classics. The new exhibit showcases artifacts from heartwarming holiday classic films, including “The Santa Clause,” “Disney Noelle,” “Babes in Toyland,” and “The Muppets Christmas Carol.” Guests can also catch a screening of a special holiday collection of Walt Disney animated short films, including “On Ice,” “Pluto’s Christmas Tree,” and “The Art of Skiing.”
We stopped by Disney’s Hollywood Studios to get a first look at the new exhibit! Here’s a full tour of the offering.
Holiday Films Exhibit at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
The new holiday films exhibit is presented in the Walt Disney Presents museum. Walt Disney Presents is also home to the Walt Disney Imagineering display, showcasing projects coming to Walt Disney World in the coming years. Guests can find the new holiday films exhibit toward the end of the walkthrough experience, near the Walt Disney Theater.
The Santa Clause Props
We’ll start with the first display we encounter – The Santa Clause! This is a must-watch Christmas movie for us, and we were happy to see so many props from across the movies on display at Hollywood Studios.
This touching trilogy follows career-focused Scott Calvin’s (Tim Allen) jolly journey of becoming Santa Claus. On one eventful Christmas Eve night, Scott puts on the Santa suit and unknowingly sparks “The Santa Clause”, a contract stating that whoever puts on the famous red suit must carry out the role, reindeer and all. Initially hesitant to accept his new mission and fluffy white beard, Scott Calvin comes to prove through matrimonial mayhem, Claus family commotion, and a chilly face off with the cold-hearted Jack Frost (Martin Short) that he is right for the suit.
The Muppets Christmas Carol Props
Continuing our photo tour of the holiday film exhibit at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, costumes and props from The Muppets Christmas Carol are on display as well!
In The Muppets’ rambunctious retelling of the classic Charles Dickens tale, Michael Caine stars as Ebenezer Scrooge, a shrewd businessman who refuses to spread goodwill toward men – and Muppets. But on one fateful night, Scrooge is visited by the spirits of Christmas Past, Present, and Future who show him the error of his ways. Surrounded by a star-studded Muppet cast including Kermit the Frog, The Great Gonzo, and the wisecracking Rizzo the Rat, Scrooge goes on a heart-tugging, wreath-hurling journey that opens his eyes to the true meaning of Christmas.
Noelle Props
Born with a twinkle in her eye, Santa’s daughter Noelle Kringle (Anna Kendrick) is filled to the brim with Christmas spirit, but her older brother Nick (Bill Hader) is entrusted to carry on the Kringle family legacy. The road to Christmas seems clear until Nick shirks his duties and goes on an extended vacation. With just a few days left until Christmas, Noelle sets out on a frantic yet festive journey to find her brother. Along the way, Noelle makes new friends who help her realize that the key to saving Christmas was within her all along.
Babes in Toyland Props
Mother Goose’s nursery rhymes pop off the page in this colorful Christmas adventure following Mary Contrary (Annette Funicello) and Tom Piper (Tommy Sands) as they get ready for their wedding day. But while wedding bells are ringing, the villainous Barnaby (Ray Bolger) is scheming up a plan to marry Miss Contrary himself! In a series of comic chases, Mary and Tom find themselves in an enchanted realm called Toyland. With the aid of new friends, the Toymaker (Ed Wynn), and his feet of Toy Soldiers, the love birds devise a plan to take down Barnaby and ensure a holiday happily ever after.
Holiday Shorts
In addition to the props, holiday-themed shorts are continuously playing in the Walt Disney Theater. The doors to the theater stay open, and guests can stroll in and out as they please to watch one (or more) of three shorts.
