The holiday season is underway at Walt Disney World thanks to the debut of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Disney Jollywood Nights this past weekend. We were in attendance for both parties, and while we’ll have plenty of content to bring you, we’re going to head over to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party now to check out Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, including a list of what has changed in this year’s performance.
Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade 2025
Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade has returned to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party for the holiday season, and we were in attendance on opening night to get a first look at this year’s version of the parade. As a reminder, the parade went through some significant changes in 2024 with the introduction of a new soundtrack. Because of last year’s change, we didn’t expect to see many changes in 2025. Indeed, there were just a few changes this year.
We’ll start with a full video of the parade, followed by some photos and notations where there were changes in this year’s Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade.

Just as a quick refresher, if you’re watching along Main Street USA, the Kringle Krew will entertain you with a high-energy, pre-parade interaction with the audience. The Kringle Krew is exclusive to Main Street USA, though, so don’t expect to see them along the parade route in Frontierland or Liberty Square.
Ok, let’s jump into a detailed look at this year’s Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade! No changes to the opening number and float. Mickey and Minnie kick off the parade with a stunning float that sets the magical tone for the parade.
Next up is the Frozen unit. Compared to our viewing of the parade last year, the only change is that the cottage that Olaf is traveling on now has smoke coming out of the chimney.
No changes to the Vanellope/chipmunk unit.
No changes to the gingerbread/Clarabelle unit this year.
No changes to the candy cane/Goofy unit.
The Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs/Cinderella unit remains the same this year as well.
The biggest change to the 2025 version of the parade is new costumes for the ballroom waltz dancers. The Dickens-style threads, replaced by gold and blue costumes. Behind the ballroom dancers is a familiar lineup of Disney Princesses with their princes on the mirror float.
The toys/Toy Story unit is the same as last year, as is the rest of the parade. All in all, not a lot of changes this year after a significant update to the parade last year.
