Good morning from Magic Kingdom, where a modified Let the Magic Begin Magic Kingdom welcome show has debuted. In the new version of the show, there are no characters on stage. The modified show is due to the start of the Cinderella Castle repainting project, which began overnight. Here’s a look at the new version of the show, which we expect to be presented in this format for a few months, at least.
Magic Kingdom Welcome Show With No Characters
Walt Disney World announced the change earlier this morning, with an update to its website:
Cinderella Castle is currently undergoing a magical transformation. Due to project work, Let The Magic Begin will be temporarily modified. While characters will not be making an appearance during this time, you will still hear the welcome fanfare and music to start your day at Magic Kingdom.
Here’s a look back at the final welcome show before the hiatus, filmed yesterday morning.
The welcome show plays roughly 5 minutes before the park is scheduled to open to day guests. At the end of the show, all of the lands of Magic Kingdom open to guests and its off to the races for a fun-filled day!
